Claudia Bernardino, Clinical Assistant
Hi! My name is Claudia Bernardino and I am a Clinical Assistant here at Restore Balance. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSS) and obtained my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) in 2012 at Ryerson University. I have been working in the non-profit sector for 10 years. My focus has been on supporting youth and young adults experiencing homelessness through client-led individualized case management and counselling. I support clients through a holistic approach and believe that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space to process what is happening for them.
I am an advocate for mental health and wellness, and I am committed to supporting service users through a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive model. I am excited to be a part of the Restore Balance team where I can utilize and further develop my administrative and clinical skills and grow alongside this incredible team! My goal is to obtain my Master of Social Work to enhance my skills in clinical social work and ultimately provide one on one clinical counselling to future clients.
To restore balance in my life I like to spend a lot of time by the lake, go on walks with my sweet pup, enjoy bonfires in my backyard at night and watch soul filling movies on Netflix!
